INSURANCE & FEE INFORMATION

Insurance covers CNM care for office visits, prenatal care and birth without any additional approvals. We accept most health insurances including AppleHealth.

    • Tribal Health Medicaid requires a referral for community birth at Anacortes Birth Center

    • TriWest Healthcare Alliance (Tricare Prime), though we are listed as PCPs with TriWest

    • Care is billed with a 40% self-pay reduction/incentive

    • We offer payment plans for prenatal care for self-pay clients

    • If you are pregnant, we recommend that you apply for AppleHealth, if you haven’t already, as income guidelines are different for pregnancy.

  • We do bill a $50 fee to clients who do not show up for their scheduled appointment.  If prior notification is given, this fee is not billed. 

  • For pregnancy care, we charge a one-time concierge fee that is NOT billable to insurance for all of the services we offer that insurance does not pay for. This $525 fee can be paid in full at initiation of care OR a $75 monthly payment for 7 months. We offer a sliding scale for medicaid clients. This fee included includes:

    • Securing your enrollment reservation with our practice

    • Extended appointment times (45-75 minutes) instead of 10-20 in traditional medical practices

    • 24/7 emergent phone triage by Anacortes Midwifery Care CNMs

    • Guaranteed coordination of care across birth settings

    • Coordination of care for specialist consultations and referrals

    • Midwifery labor support is more involved, for much longer periods of time than physician practices

    • After-hours review and interpretation of complex critical labs/imaging
